ReMIniscing or miSSing it?

For the past 3 years of my late 20’s lifetime. I experienced the best time in my life. I never thought I’ll be meeting lots of people which now became part of my life. When I first step in the ground of premier state university of this country I never realize it will lead me to a crazy and adventurous way of life. My life was never been the same, then, yet it changed me to a more responsible and lead me to think CRITICALLY - as what the whole people are doing in this little community called “PEYUPS Way of LIFE”. However, along with that “notion” I also meet some people whom really especial in my life – deep inside. For sure this may be normal to each everyone but what I’ve learned when I was with them makes me who I am now. This may be a cliché to each and everyone but for sure I don’t know, it really moves my life to a better one.

So, what am I trying to say here? Actually I just want to make some things to share and try to reminisce those little bits and bites that I’ve had when I met this group called “HOOTENANNY”. Hootenanny was formed somewhat 3 or 4 years ago the same month, January or March ---- I really don’t know, from a little chit chat of kahlou – the head master and leah – assistant head master and collaboration of the others that includes me (wink). From then on, the birth of the “Full Moon” dinner cum party was created and became our monthly rituals. All members are required to bring a new friend and introduce it to the group and she or he will be part of the group. It’s like friendster which I’ve learned it last November 2003. The main purpose of this interaction and connection is to create a group that composes of young and energetic with a spice of adventurous way of life, who love to eat, travel, always on the go, and ready to adventure. So, the days come and months as the people come and go. A connection from each other was merely normal and the six degree thing really true to us, especially to leah! Because of that I’ve met many people from all walks of life and some of them became my coolest and closest friends and give me the undying support about getting or pursuing to be ---- you know what I mean! Ha ha ha PEACE po! <<<<< you know who you are!!! Unfortunately, they all surrender and continue our friendship became more tight and strong!

The food preparation (which not every one are interested hahaha) and who would be the chef of the night was really a no choice for some people! If I will be given a chance to nominate or give an award to those who give more time in kitchen stuff hay…they will have a statue like lapu lapu and be placed in the rooftop ha ha ha!!! And be hailed!!! The usual cuisine that we usually have, talong with coco milk (that every month the flavor is different yet same preparation), inihaw na tilapia, bangus, porkchop and the ever famous green shells a.k.a tahong (as what aiken describe it), and sometimes salad and fruits. And the most important event of the night, the “HOT SEAT” portion while the El hombre tequila or San Miguel lights are circling around. Until the person in the HOT SEAT will just start talking and try to defend himself or herself to avoid to much digging about love life and significant other!!! And if there would be a award for best HOT SEAT well it will be given to leah and yours truly! Those are some of the things I want to experience and do it again. Oh, but in every happiness there would be what we call the “others” who sometimes we call it “PIKON” or “KILL JOY” effect especially if the group is in high spirit of alcohol and the best night and laughter are all over the rooftop. But that would be some spices that we cannot avoid and make our day ha ha ha --- the walkout queen! <<<<< you know who is it! Ha ha ha sorry but PEACE man! And lastly, the best thing is when jay reaches his peak and would start to dance and do the question and answer thing like “boy abunda” in a morning show! Ha ha ha!!! I bet you are now smiling when you remember jay footstep and kakulitan and ending up like a little boy and abby would be starting to flare up like a true mother! Hay… those days, really makes my day so complete.

Now, I am back here in my province, naga city, and visit manila if there would be an extra time and money that makes me feel a little bit of sadness inside. How I wish I can bring back the time and do the stuff again and just have the best time every month! With nothing in my minds – projects, papers, works loads, problems in office and school just merely relaxation and laughter. A treat for ourselves and let our child like comes out and never think of anything just merely enjoyment. Those are some of the bits and bites in my life when I was with the group “HOOTENANNY”. A kind of group that I can always count on in spite of the differences we have. Lastly, I’ll take this opportunity to say thanks guys for attentions and understanding you’ve all given to me. Sorry for the things I’ve said in the past. I may not be aware of the words I’ve used but I hope its not too late say SORRY and TAHNK YOU. A “hootenanny” will always be a “hootenanny”! Live your life to the fullest!!! And never forget to smile and put a happy face. It’s the best thing you can do to others! That’s what you all did to me guys!!! Aja Aja Aja!!!
